Morini Istanbul: The New York-based restaurant opened in Istanbul’s Zorlu Center as a partnership between Chef Michael White and the Altamarea Group. Morini takes two concepts in Istanbul, a restaurant is just beside the Beymen department store and the brasserie-style Morini Terrace inside the store.
We interpreted all the graphic components in a contemporary light, combining the modern New Yorker and American Art Deco styles the restaurant embodies. The menu design, itself designed with sensitivity and polish, became the perfect partner to Morini’s cuisine and service, both of which are renown for their sensitivity and flair.
As Morini is in the Zorlu Center, one of the city’s flash points for lifestyle, and as it is next to Beymen, events had to pivot on urban fashion concepts. The event concepts we designed achieved the right tone for this lifestyle. With weekly updates we broadcast across social media to promote these concepts, Morini lent Istanbul a more fluid, modern and inviting edge, creating it over as a more enjoyable and accessible place.
We cooperated with the interior design firm Kontra, by working in strong artwork to refine the general impression of the eating-drinking space, but also to strength the impression of the venue always being an enjoyable place to be.
